If you are putting on a public event in or near the East Edge then please send us the details at info@theeastedge.co.uk You can follow our latest news and add event reviews on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/TheEastEdge | This spring why not take the opportunity to make the East Edge community a bit brighter and greener? Here are some ideas... GET PLANTING - OK, so the East Edge is probably not a contender for the Britain in Bloom award but why not try to brighten up your street by planting some flowers in your front garden or window? GET GROWING - have a go at growing your own vegetables or maybe some salad for summer. You could put your best home-grown fruit and veg into the Newham Show's Village Fete competition on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 July in Central Park, East Ham. The Gardening categories include longest carrot and oddest looking vegetable! To find out more and register for this competition email competitions@newham.gov.uk. TOP TIPS - you can get some good tips on planting and growing your own fruit and veg at love the garden website. GO GREEN - find more information about local groups which contribute to a greener East Edge on our Go Green page. |
